The mechanic and the doctor

A mechanic is disassembling the nozzle of a bike, when you see in the shop a well-known cardiologist surgeon.

He's watching the mechanic work. The mechanic to and question:

-Hey, doc, can I ask you a question?

The surgeon, a bit surprised, agrees and goes to the bike on which the mechanic is working. The mechanic gets up and begins:

-Doctor, look at this engine. I open its heart, valves, repair shot them, put them back and close again. When I'm done, he goes back to work as if it were new. How is it then that I make so little and the Lord so much, when our work is pretty much the same?

The surgeon gives a smile, leans forward and speaks softly to the mechanic:
- Try to do this with the engine running!
